Svetlana Cvetko is an American cinematographer and film director noted for her contributions to critically acclaimed documentaries and her transition to narrative feature directing. 

Cvetko began her career in fashion and editorial photography before establishing herself as a documentary Director of Photography, with key works including the Academy Award-winning Inside Job (2010), the Oscar-nominated Facing Fear (2013), the Cannes Official Selection Red Army (2014), and the Sundance Special Jury Prize recipient Inequality for All (2013), Silicon Cowboys (2016 SXSW premiere) and Enlighten Us (2016 Tribeca premiere for CNN Films). Films that she lensed have premiered at major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca, showcasing her ability to capture intimate and complex subjects through innovative visual storytelling. She has directed award-winning shorts, including the autobiographical No War, which earned the Grand Prix du Public at Films de Femmes, and Yours Sincerely, Lois Weber, winner of Best Documentary at LA Shorts Fest.

Her feature directorial debut, Show Me What You Got (2020), an ode to rule-breaking relationships inspired by the French New Wave, premiered at Taormina International Film Festival where it won the Cariddi d'Oro for Best Film, and secured additional honors such as Best International Film at Terra di Siena, Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature and Jury Award for Best Cinematography at High Falls Women's Film Festival, and Grand Prize at San Antonio Film Festival. Cvetko also directed the genre feature film Deadly Switch starring Dylan Walsh, Teri Polo and Danika Yarosh, on Netflix.

A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2019, Cvetko continues to develop projects blending documentary and narrative elements.
